About

At the 2019 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards Ceremony.

As a child, I was the one that thought up all the pretend games for my sister and friends. I drew my first mural at age 3, which was a four foot drawing of my stuffed dragon, rendered in Crayola crayons. I wrote and illustrated my first book at age 9, and I still have it. It was typed on an old typewriter. The illustrations were done in ballpoint pen and dime store watercolors.

I am a self-taught artist. I love to work with traditional art materials, as well as using digital programs.

In addition to doing book illustration, I did a seven month stint doing illustrations and animations for client Parlement Technologies.

I live with my husband, my horses, cows, and cats among the farms and dairies in the heartland of California. Our 4 children are grown and we have two grandsons.
