Home won a Gold Medal!

Author Carrie Barnes and I found out yesterday that our book won the Gold Medal for Best First Picture Book for the 2020 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. Because of the pandemic, our book came out 6 months late. It has only been for sale for the last month. We are very blessed to find out that our book is able to thrive despite the Covid pandemic that has rocked the world for this whole year. It was also a blessing to have Home launch during a time when California is dealing with a record amount of wildfires. We hope that this book can be of some comfort to people going through the changes and loss brought on by the wildfires.
